SHORT BIO:

Alessandro Loiacono (Ale Loy) is an Italian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, based in Glasgow.

He released albums, performed tours and won several competitions in Italy using the stage name “Zero Cinque” (2008-2013). In 2014, he moved to the UK to start a more ambitious and international solo project named “Ale Loy”. Here he has immediately captured the attention of the Bristolian label “Jack of All Records”, which released his latest album “Wake up Early”.

In 2016, Ale Loy released independently the single “The Others”. In 2018, he performed a UK/Italian promotional tour. In 2019, he released “Memories from the Present” live EP.

He is currently working on new music content in his multi-functional studio. Here, Ale Loy is able to create and finish song concepts from scratch through to the final stage. This includes recording multiple instruments, singing, mastering, artwork graphics, and video making.

Alongside his obsession for creating original music, Alessandro worked at various challenging commitments. In 2020, he graduated at the Glasgow Clyde College (HND). Between the years 2017 and 2020 he gigged extensively as a solo function act for the booking agency Connect Entertainment. Furthermore, he is in the process of completing the last Bachelor of Arts year at the University of the Highlands and Islands (Perth) with his chosen “Popular Music” course.

Alessandro pubblica album, esegue tour e partecipa a numerosi contest in Italia con il nome d’arte “Zero Cinque” (2008-2013). Nel 2014 si trasferisce in Gran Bretagna per cominciare il progetto solista internazionale “Ale Loy”. Qui cattura immediatamente l’attenzione dell’etichetta “Jack of All Records” (Bristol), che pubblica il suo album “Wake up Early” (2015).

Nel 2016, Ale Loy pubblica il singolo “The Others” da indipendente. Nel 2018, completa il tour promozionale in Italia e UK. Nel 2019 pubblica il live EP “Memories from the Present“.

Attualmente sta lavorando a del nuovo materiale musicale nel suo studio multi funzionale. In questo studio Ale Loy crea i suoi concept dallo stadio embrionale fino alla loro realizzazione finale. Questo include registrazione di strumenti, voci, mix, mastering, grafica e, talvolta, video musicali.

Simultaneamente alla sua ossessione per la musica inedita, Alessandro lavora a diversi altri progetti. Consegue il diploma musicale HND nel Glasgow Clyde College (2020). Svolge più di 300 serate all’anno nei pub scozzesi eseguendo cover di musica folk, funk e tradizionale come chitarrista cantante durante i weekend(2017-2020). Ed, inoltre, sta completando gli studi dell’ultimo anno di Università in Musica Popolare all’University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI – Bachelor of Arts).
